What is it like to live in Kathmandu? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Kathmandu is beautiful valley with lots of historical monuments.It is crowded but people enjoy it because of diversity of people living there.yes it is good place to live in. we can find every thing we want in comparable price.To live in Kathmandu it is some how expensive than other cities in Nepal.

What is the student lifestyle like in Kathmandu?

I would say student life is not so good if you are self earning person.
Financially i would say it is little tough. Mostly students don't work in Nepal but they are funded by their parents.But if you have some skills than you can get good jobs. but Just to study it is good place.You can have many options for and subjects offered by many collages and university .

How much does it cost to live in Kathmandu?

For student it is approx 17000 Nepalese rupees.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Kathmandu? Is there any advice you can give?

ya it is difficult. but student clubs in campus and links of friend may help someone better.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

We can find variety of foods and items. Depends upon someones preferences. But i love typical Nepali food an street foods in Nepal are also very good.

What places would you recommend visiting in Kathmandu?

There are lot to visit in Kathmandu but specially museums and historic monuments are good place to visit. I prefer durbar square, pashupatinath temple and so on .

Is it good to eat out in Kathmandu? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Every places are good,you can go any where you want.

Is the nightlife good in Kathmandu? Where is good to go?

yes its very good. you enjoy Themel and durbarmarg mostly at night.

What advice would you give future students heading to Kathmandu?

Ya its better place to live. Just be careful if you drive because there are traffic more than you would think.
