The city isn't that huge, but to study it is perfect especially if you are interested in going outside, see the nature as well as going in bars and clubs. Everything is near by.

Karlsruhe is very student friendly. You get discounts for almost every activity and transport and in general it is not too expensive. There are also many possibilities to connect with other students and many activities like sports and cultural offers.

How much does it cost to live in Karlsruhe?

I am not sure because I lived with my parents...

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Karlsruhe? Is there any advice you can give?

If you are a foreign student it may be a bit difficult but try to find other students to live with or get help of someone who speaks German to find an accommodation. Normally it shouldn't be problem to find an accommodation especially a shared flat.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

In Karlsruhe you find almost everything to eat. I really enjoy the Italian and Chinese food, but also there are many vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurants.

ZKM has many cool exhibitions but for me going hiking and doing sports activities outside is the best. I would also recommend the Venus bar to get a drink.

Yes I really like to eat out in Karlsruhe, my favorite restaurant is the l'Osteria in the city center.

Is the nightlife good in Karlsruhe? Where is good to go?

There are several clubs in Karlsruhe. My favorite club is Stadtmitte because it is cosy and has a garden outside and you can enter with almost every clothing. But every club in Karlsruhe is a bit different depending on what you like. Hello Club for example has a lot of Spanish hits and therefore is recommended for Erasmus students.

What advice would you give future students heading to Karlsruhe?

If you are interested in a middle tall city, Karlsruhe is definitely recommendable. Try to see a lot of the landscape and nature near by Karlsruhe.
