THE SKY IS BLUE HERE!
1.THE SKY IS BLUE HERE
As a 20 year old, I had one experience that not only transformed my perception of culture, development and human endeavor but also made me a global citizen with ability to accommodatively hold a discussion or conversation with any human being from anywhere on our globe and uderstand where he or she was coming from. I was part of a Redd Barna (Child Advocacy-Norway Uganda) an experience between 24 youth from Norway and Uganda 12 from each Country in a pedagocal learning experience. This experience brought the 24 of us to learn, teach and experience, child advocacy, human rights, culture and development challenges from an African and Norwegian perspectives a forever enriching experience from both directions. Uganda where I come from was called the Pearl of Africa by World war 11 British Prime Minister when he visited because its awesome beauty. Uganda has the source of the longest river in the world, the river nile, it has most of the second largest lake in the world, lake Victoria. The Equator passes through Uganda, there are other huge lakes, the Kyoga, wamala and George.
Uganda is home to Mountain Gorrillas, the majestic African lion, the elephant, the buffalo name it you will find it there. In Uganda you will find probably the least xenophobic country in the world world with very welcoming people with big smiles.
The Norway Uganda experience was tagged the CA-NU boat;Child Advocacy-Norway Uganda.
