So the CA-NU board began when 12 boisterous Norwegian youth aged an average of 20 were selected from different Norwegian Universities and cities and held a preparation meeting in Redd Barna office in Oslo. They came from Oslo city and University,University of Bergen, Trondheim and Moldo. They were 8 girls and 4boys.

At the same time as these were selected and meeting 12 Ugandan's youth were also selected and meeting in the Redd Barna head office in Kampala Uganda. These where also 4 boys and 8 girls from youth desks of development organizations in Uganda spread across the Country.Below a picture of the CA-NU boys. I am 3rd from left

So after the preparation from us the young people from two countries greatly loved by their people reflected in their Mottos;Uganda(For God and My Country and Norway; Ja-Elsker Landet (Yes-I love this Country) the time came for the Norwegians to travel to Uganda. There was a get to know each other party on their first evening but only two Ugandans turned up because most were from distant small towns and were still traveling. Below me writing my book; Darling I..The Split Atom enabled by my mind and perception expansion of the Ca-NU boat

We traveled across Uganda experiencing the new thinking then emerging in development work;pedagogical approaches and participatory approaches, theatre in development that was so exciting with its practical and participatory way of acting out development challenges. This we experienced  a few miles from Uganda's southern city of Masaka at a Grade school teachers' training school an experience that was beautifully done and ended up being so emotional no one wanted to let us leave and we didn't want to leave. So one Norwegian CA-NU (Ragnar Kleiven) stood up and sang a beautiful song telling the student teachers that we loved them but they the Norwegians had to go back home because their country needed them. We completed this marvelous experience with a football match between CA-NU and the student teachers with the CA-NU team only 8 boys unable to form a team by 3 so we had 3 CANU girls playing. It was wonderful to see to girls especially stand out with Yngva tackling the boys with great strength and the star Veslemoy who we found out back in Norway was playing in the second division of a women's league dazzling the atmosphere with her skills.

CA-NU taught me many things. To appreciate different cultures and see humanity in its perfect beauty as the CA_NU boat theme attested "We are all in the same boat".

The CA-NU experience was enormous. We visited the breathtaking source of the Nile in the City of Jinja 80kilometres from the Ugandan Capital an awesome display of nature.
