What is it like to live in Jerusalem? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
its exiting and interesting. the people are kind and there is a lot to see. but if you live there you rather live at the center!
What is the student lifestyle like in Jerusalem?
its cool, lots of pubs around the market and the town, and many activities for young people.
How much does it cost to live in Jerusalem?
it is a little bit expensive. about 2000 nis a month for a place and more 1500 for other expenses.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Jerusalem? Is there any advice you can give?
yes. I think the best thing is to find Facebook groups for that aim. there are a lot.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
in summer time, the best is humus, and in the winter, soup.
What places would you recommend visiting in Jerusalem?
the shook- its the name of the market, a best thing in this city. at the morning you can find great food, and in the evenin pubs and restaurants and great atmosphere!
Is it good to eat out in Jerusalem? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
sure!! there is an amazing place for soup and beer, calls "Hamarakia", its on Koresh street, just by Jaffa RD. and a pizza calls Bardak, with Israeli made beers and great pizza. and a beautiful coffee calls Nocturno, on Betzalel RD. This are the most Jerusalemic please and very recommended if you want to meet the local people.
Is the nightlife good in Jerusalem? Where is good to go?
yes. so the market and on the middle of Jaffa RD, a street calls yochanan horkenus.
What advice would you give future students heading to Jerusalem?
get to meet the local students, and they will let you know where the best places are!
