The name calls the Pigeon Island was given due to the pigeon habitat in this island. This is a beautiful natural island surrounded by the crystal clear blue water and white sands. This island is a national park and located close to Nilavali. It is a perfect place for swimming, scuba diving, coral visits, etc. This is the ideal place to visit reef fish, sharks and turtles. During my visit, we were lucky enough to see three sharks around four feet and two turtles.

We can reach to this place by boat. But I like to recommend going early as possible since it gets crowded when the time pass. You can arrange a boat trip for a reasonable price, which is around $20. But my advice is to arrange a boat for a whole day since it is a bit convenient. Besides the boat fee, you should pay for tickets to enter into this marine park. You can have a quality time in this place!
