İzmir is the most european city in Turkey, you can find lot of activities,hobbies,parties in here also the folk is very very friendly and the diversity of architecture is spectacular modern architecture to old antient architecture will be feast to your eyes.

What is the student lifestyle like in Izmir?

İzmir has a lot of youthful activities for students, every district has different soul it is up to you to find the people or event that fits you .

How much does it cost to live in Izmir?

Beside the school fee, accommodation, food, transportation, bad habits (alcohol,cigarette etc.) cost about 1500-2000 TL (400-500 USD) in total.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Izmir? Is there any advice you can give?

Not at all ,there are dorms and rental houses every where if you wanna stay close to your school even the student houses call 'apart' are really suitable but it depends on where your school at.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I think you can find lot of dishes that you can eat because our foods are not ridiculously spicy or tastes funny ,we love meet, fish, veggies, desserts all kind of stuff so food is no problem also folk here don't eat pork (I do) so you should forget pancetta.

What places would you recommend visiting in Izmir?

Alsancak, bostanlı, çeşme these ones are where fun at .

Is it good to eat out in Izmir? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

My favorite spot is 'Konyalı', they serve one of the best turkish cuisine (lot of meat) also prices are average, you can find Konyalı every corner in İzmir even in Turkey.

Is the nightlife good in Izmir? Where is good to go?

Best spots are in alsancak and bostanlı there are lot of pubs, night clubs etc. for cheep food and beer 'Kovan' is the best place in alsancak.

What advice would you give future students heading to Izmir?

Don't be schmuck be active find friends that give good advices and anywhere you go in the world watch your back. Now you are good to go.
