How much does it cost to live in Izmir?
It's about 350€ per month. I live in a flat with my two friends and I pay just about 115€. You should live in a flat if you're an Erasmus student in Izmir.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Izmir? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not so difficult just look sky, you can see some boards for renting flat.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
You can eat Izmir Kumru. It's a special sandwich in Izmir. You can eat most delicious fishes in Izmir. You must taste doner and Turkish kebab.
What places would you recommend visiting in Izmir?
Alsancak Gazi Kadinlar Street, Bornova Kucukpark, Konak Clock Tower, Karsiyaka, Kordon, Goztepe and Çeşme.
Is the nightlife good in Izmir? Where is good to go?
Best nightlife that you can find is in Alsancak especially Gazi Kadinlar Street.
What advice would you give future students heading to Izmir?
Rent a flat, live the moment, enjoy in your Erasmus time.
