What is it like to live in Izmir? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

ı really recommend ızmır for living. I come from another city two years ago because ı think ızmır ıs the best cıty ın turkey . The people live in here is more friendly and comfortable . The city is full of modern lookıng people and also women in izmir have stronger identity than other Turkish citties .The life is energetic people are generally happy and population is young.

What is the student lifestyle like in Izmir?

students life can be full of action . There will be find so much activities to do and choices are not limitted. İzmir is a coastal city , it expands along the coast.
You can sit down a restaurant ,cafe, for consuming nargile at the seaside. Nights are energetic too ,lots of cafes and bar present especiall ın alsancak and bornova

How much does it cost to live in Izmir?

ı thınk prices are really suitable according to the other cities of turkey.
except staying somewhere you should have 600- 800 tl is enough money for eating ,visiting somewhere , entertainment etc. Accomodaition is changed where do you stay but you can fınd an apartent 500 -700 tl monthly price.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Izmir? Is there any advice you can give?

you can stay at univercity dormitories ,you find a host family for staying together with him or her. İnaddition you can hire an apartment ,its possible too. And based on I heard some people take erasmus students their house as a guest. you can try whatever choice you want

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

ı think turkish dishes are always delicious. But generally izmir hasnt local foods. If you addicted different tastes, you should go to east side of turkey such as erzincan,gaziantep ,erzurum,adana etc. cities. But if you will live in İzmir, restaurants offer you many options on foods and each of them are delicies too and as I said according to other cities prices are suitable too.

Is it good to eat out in Izmir? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

they can find a good restaurants in alsancak , bornova ,buca ,karsıyaka
there are lots of places. My favourite place isn't available ,but you can choise which restaurant or cafe is full of people you go and try absolutely the place have good opportunity.

Is the nightlife good in Izmir? Where is good to go?

Alsancak Karsıyaka and Bornova districts have lots of place to go entertaınment ,cafes etc. people are generally in alsancak places for going party , sitting somewhere. ı dont give a special names to you because everywhere is good in my opinion .Which one is seemed more approprate to you ,you can choıse ıt and you will never regret about it if you are not so unlucky person :)

What advice would you give future students heading to Izmir?

Learning different places ,lifestyles ,cultures , it always gives you something. you must come and live for a while you will certainly love your turkish experience. because you are coming the most beatiful city in turkey in my opinion.
