Erasmus Student Talking about Izmir City
Izmir city is considered to be the most important export port in Turkey. It has recently attracted a large number of tourists. It has attracted tourists' attention to its cultural, entertainment, archaeological sites and beaches which attract many tourists.
When you go there you can visit many tourist attractions there such as:
- Konak Square:
Is the main square in the city, and it is characterized by the famous clock tower, which was built in 1901, and is classified as one of the symbols in the city, this is one of the most famous tourist places in Izmir.
- Asansor building:
The Asansor was built by a Jewish businessman in 1907. The reason for the construction of this Asansor is to help the residents to move and go to the areas located on the top of the hill, and in the foot was this elevator works by water after the state has made many amendments and repairs on it works on electricity.
- Teleferik:
The cable car is one of the landmarks of the city of Izmir. It is fun and entertaining for its wonderful views over the high mountains of Kalufah. The cable car consists of twenty colored vehicles, each with a capacity of four people. The cable car charges 6 to 7 TL per person and children under 6 years free of charge. The cable car is available from 10 am until 11 pm every day.
- Izmir Archaeological Museum:
A museum belonging to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism contains many historical monuments of all the civilizations that inhabited Izmir. A museum entrance fee of 10 TL is equivalent to $ 4.
- Cadivecal Castle:
A magnificent castle built in ancient times on a high hill in the city, above which you can enjoy the magnificent view of the city of Izmir and its vast green spaces, and capture the most beautiful pictures of the city.
- Izmir Beaches:
The city has many unique and charming beaches. we can talk abou some of it like:
1- Cesme Beach: Located 85 km from the western tip of Izmir, this beach has a great holiday resort and is ideal for holidays. The beach area has many springs and unique places. Investors have taken advantage of tourism on this beach to create a perfect tourist resort.
2- Sefer Hisar Beach: This beach is located 45 km from the city center. The beach area is considered to be the quietest and most popular area to enjoy the nature and distance from the bustle of the city.
Climate in Izmir:
Izmir has a sunny, dry climate in summer, a rainy winter with the possibility of snow. The best time to visit Izmir during the summer and spring season is to enjoy a mild climate similar to the Mediterranean climate.
