Why did you choose to go to Izmir, Turkey?
Because of weather and sea.
Also Izmir is the best point for making the trips. There are many things and places for visiting arround Izmir. There are lots of transport companies which are able to transport you to many interesting places in Turkey.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
My scholarship was 320 Euros per month. Every month I spent 150 Euro from my account, so completely 470 Euros per month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Izmir?
I think is more free than in Czech Republic.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Izmir to other students?
Yes, the university was nice, new, teachers were great also level of Education was fine for Erasmus students, not to much homeworks, not so hard exams.
What is the food like?
The food is very healthy, vegetable, chickem, potatoes and also very sweet Baklava :-)
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Izmir?
I sped 3 weeks in dorm and after this time my coordinator helped me to find accommodation in Turkish family. I payed 250 Euros (food and drinks was include).
How much does it cost to live in Izmir?
Its similar liíke in Czech Republic
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Tuskish language is hard.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Izmir from your city?
By plane from Prague.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Izmir?
Alsancak clubs.
