Italian gestures: 13 Italian Gestures taught by an Italian
Hello everyone! I hope you're well. Today I'd like to share with you some italian gestures which I've come to know during my time living here in Rimini and what could better than an Italian to show you. I asked my flatmate Simone to help me out with the photos so that you can understand each of these Italian hand gestures. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so without further ado, here are some Italian gestures:
- This first one means someone is crazy:
- This next one means something or someone smells bad:
- This next gesture I think may be recognised across many countries to refer to people who are being cheated on by their partners, meaning they are cuckolded:
- When you're in the middle of a conversation and you want to say that something doesn't make sense, you can make the following gesture and say “Che cosa stai dicendo? ”:
- To leave and go somewhere else: Andiamo!
- Ma va! Stop! Smetti di dire cazzate! Stop talking nonsense!
- When you want to do something underhand, for example when you don't want to pay taxes or pay a police fine.
- I like this gesture a lot, it means I don't care! non me ne frega niente! :
- When you see someone who could be gay and you want to tell someone they are:
- This gesture means to keep something secret:
- This next one means, Look! Occhio! :
- This gesture is used when you want to say that the food was great, ha un sapore fantástico! :
- I'd better not say what this one means since it's a bad word maybe a swearword, so I leave it up to your imagination! $$%&! :
I hope you've enjoyed this short explanation of Italian gestures and thanks to Simone for helping me out, until next time!
