Visiting from Switzerland

It's always nice to have a visitor from Switzerland! After such an eventful weekend, here's a short report - with pictures! - of what we got up to. On Thursday, Anikó (the one I was with in Australia) arrived from Switzerland. Reason enough for us to go on a two day trip to see stunning waterfalls (the Lava Falls, Hraunfossar, and the Bridge Falls, Bruarfoss) and to enjoy the hot springs. Just have a look at the photos; )

What's more, we went dumpster diving on Saturday. I've already mentioned that once before: it's when you go searching through supermarket dumpsters in the hopes of finding something tasty. It may sound disgusting but what they do is a huge waste of resources - it doesn't even make sense why most of the things have even landed in the bin. Yesterday's haul: a pack of avocado (about 6), 2 oranges, 3 potatoes, 2 red peppers, loads of apples and bananas, 3 packs of salad, some Brie and 2 half-litres of cream - everything was in the best shape! We could have taken more but, unfortunately, we can't use up all that food ^^
