Why did you choose to go to Iasi, Romania?

I applied for Erasmus Mundus Ianus 2 program for full degree scholarship and they chose me.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was 2 years. I received 1000 euros per months.

What is the student lifestyle like in Iasi?

It was really nice to be a student in Iasi you should be active as well and get involved in many projects.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Iasi to other students?

I absolutely recommend Iasi to future Erasmus students, I am in love the city.

What is the food like?

Pizza Mamamia is the best!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Iasi?

I found very easily because my Erasmus coordinator helped me to book it.

How much does it cost to live in Iasi?

It is not expensive, depends on how you eat and spend time. If you eat normally maybe 150/200 Euro.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

They offer you free courses to learn Romanian. The grammar is difficult but the speaking is not, because the alphabet letters look English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Iasi from your city?

I am from Georgia. I traveled from Kutaisi to Istanbul and Istanbul to Bucharest.

You can fly from Bucharest to Iasi, but I traveled by bus it took me 7 hours. I recommend taking flight and reserve beforehand.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Iasi?

I recommend going to clubs, pizza restaurants, and Palas mall or Iulius mall.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Iasi in the future?

I recommend them to enjoy there as possible they can. Visit Palace of culture and Churches. They can also go to English club which is fantastic, if they want to improve their English they have American teachers and they will help them.
