Why did you choose to go to Iasi, Romania?

I wanted to see something different, and it has a close connection with my uni.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was like 650 euros for one semester. Residence in my university (TUIasi) was in the Tudor area of the city and it costed 60 €.

What is the student lifestyle like in Iasi?

It's full of students and a very good nightlife, during the winter in the day there is not much to do.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Iasi to other students?

Depends on what you are looking for. To learn you need to show you want to learn otherwise they wont give you that much importance, the uni is very well equipped and professors are generally nice people. Its a good party destination and you get to see a very interesting country, travelling is cheap there and you will have time.

What is the food like?

The flavours are strong, it's a cold country. You need to have mamaliga (corn bread). Cheap food is like anywhere else in Europe but top end food is crazy cheap, you must try a restaurant called Oscar.
