Why did you choose to go to Iași, Romania?
Because there are great people and job opportunities. Moreover, prices are low compared with those of the capital, Bucharest. Finally, Iași is known as 'The Cultural Capital of Romania', so it's worth the visit.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
Well, I'm Romanian myself and I've been in Iași for 5 years now. I receive 230 Romanian lei (48 euros approx. ) per month.
Would you recommend the city and the university of Iași to other students?
Of course.
What is the food like?
Here there are food courts with low prices special for students. You can eat Romanian specialities or food from other countries, such as Italy or Greece, as well as fast food and many more.
Was it difficult to find your accommodation in Iași?
250 Romanian lei (52 euros) per month in a flat or 110-450 Romanian lei (23-93 euros) in a dorm on the campus.
How much does it cost to live in Iași?
500 Romanian lei/month (104 euros approx. ).
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?
The language is easy to grips with. The university offers courses in several languages—English, Spanish, Italian and German.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Iași from your city?
Train.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Iași?
Casa Vânătorului (restaurant), Time Out (café), The Office Lounge (club), Cannabis (club), Skin Music Lounge (club) and Club Viper.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Iași?
Dionisos (Greek restaurant), Family Pizza, Palas Iași (a commercial area which consists of a large shopping centre and office buildings).
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Eminescu's Linden Tree, the Metropolitan Cathedral (dedicated to Saint Parascheva), the Palace of Culture, Memorial Houses and the Iași Botanical Garden.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Iași in the future?
You should try a special Romanian dish.

How colud be possible that you live in Iasi with only 120 euro per month?Can you give me some advices to do the same??=D

You can live in a flat with more friends, eat in Titu Maieorescu, Copou, student canteen
