Welcome to the forum for Erasmus Huelva 2012 / 2013!

This is the place where Erasmus students, or any exchange students, that are headed for Huelva in 2012 / 2013 can introduce themselves and get to know one another before they arrive. Introduce yourself to the forum and ask any questions you may have about the city, the University, where to stay, where to eat, the prices and cost of living in Huelva, places for Erasmus parties or any other question you may habe. Here you can also find:

Warning! If you want to advertise an accommodation or your are looking for one... the forum is not the place for doing that. In order to advertise your accommodation in Huelva or in order to find roommates don’t use this forum, go to the accommodation section of Huelva.

Livin' la vida Erasmus!

Olaaaaaa, me and my friend are coming next year in march, so we would like to get some informations which is the best location to rent a flat?

Bok Andrea!

I'm volunteer in ESN Huelva (Erasmus Student Network Huelva)
Well, the best zone is neighbourhoods called "LA MERCED", the center and zones near to the university. La merced is the zone of party, plenty of pubs and young people and IF YOU STUDY ECONOMICS OR TURISM,YOUR FACULTY IS ALSO THERE. Because of that, center and merced are expensive than the rest zones. I recommend search first in these zones, because although you're far of campus( but the word "far" in Huelva is 25 minutes walking or 10 minutes by bus) you are near the party and have buses to go to study!
Another option is to rent near your campus (in case you have other studies). It's going to be cheaper, but as i told you, maybe is better to try first in La merced!
In ESN we have an online flat list ( www.tinyurl.com/esnhuelvaflats ). It's not working for you, because next year this list will be different, but at least you can check and have some idea about prices. Next year, when you come, we can help you to arrange meetings with landlords!
We hope to see you here next year!

Of course, don't hesitate to ask us about any doubt you have. I'm usually around here so in the day after or even same day, i will answer here  ;-)

Btw: From which part of Croatia are u? I was erasmus in Ljubljana, so i was visiting some cities in Croatia!

From Split, that is in Dalmatia, you probably were somewhere in Istria

I was in Split...nice city! Also in Karlovac, Dubrovnik, Zagreb...but the most beautiful place where I was in my erasmus, it was Plitvička Lakes!

What is the price range for flats whitch are located outside of city center (20-30 minutes waliking distace)?

And also, can you tell us which is the best why to come from Split to Huelva?

Antea : of course there are exceptions(I saw a flat for 130, expenses included), but between 170-210€ (here i also count the expenses as water, electricity...). Anyway, as I told you, is better if you get something in the center, or in La Merced(is going to be around 220-250€). Anyway, we will try to help you when you come, to find accomodation.
Andrea : I was asking, and a girl from Zadar told me she made two different routes:
From Zadar: Zadar-Brussels & Brussels-Sevilla (all with ryanair) from april till october they're working.
From Venice: Venice - Sevilla (ryanair) , but before you have to take two buses, from Split-Trieste (9 hours) and Trieste-Venice (3 hours).
Other option that you can check is to find something to Madrid, and then take a bus (Socibus) from airport till Huelva, it takes around 8 hours and cost 29€.

Sorry for my delayed answer!!

Andrea, now i listen there is also low-cost flights from Dubrovnik to Madrid!  I know Zadar is closer, but maybe both flights are going to cost more than Dubrovnik-Madrid & Madrid-Huelva by bus!

Holaaaa a todos!!

The next september, I and my friend probably will come to Huelva for 9 month.. We study Sports Science!

Can you give me more information about my faculty and city?? What is the best way to come from Rome or Naples???

Thanks... ciaoooo!!

Hola Carlo.

From Napoli: There are flight with Vueling Napoli-Sevilla, but one friend is doing his erasmus in Benevento and he told me is cheaper to take a train to Rome (3 hours) and Rome- Sevilla with Ryanair ;-)
In Sevilla, take an intercity bus from airport to capital, and from there, you can come to Huelva by train or bus (bus is better connected, each hour there is one and cost

About your faculty, is in Education Faculty, Sports Sciences Area. In theory, this is the webpage: http://www.uhu.es/fedu/
About Huelva...what do you want to know? Maybe I can give you answers

Regards!

Hiiii...is there any italian student that he/she is going to go in Semptember???
I just knew I had won the "erasmus for huelva" for 9 mounths...:)
How can I found a house?

Hi Maria!
Right now, we (ESN Huelva) know there are 4-5 italians who will come, but don't worry, according to nationalities, italians are the biggest group in Huelva (around 140 people of 600 erasmus here).
About housing: You can make two things...
1º) Book it in advance :  there are come offers of flats on internet and you can search them and agreed something before you come, just google it! I think it's a good idea if you come very late.
2º) You can book a hostel spot for a couple of days, and search a flat when you're here, visiting them and deciding flatmates and flat that you want. Here in ESN Huelva can provide you a list of flats when we get it for next academic year this summer (you can check this one, it was this year, so it's old, but maybe you could have some idea about prices www.tinyurl.com/esnhuelvaflats )
3º) In both cases, if you have some question about your studies or city, we could try to answer you ;-) just ask here. One important thing: by law, the payment as deposit just could be as much as cost ONE MONTH of rental...

Good luck! And we hope you'lll enjoy your erasmus here!

Thanks a lot :)

Hola....

Next semester for 2012-13 fall term I will probably will come to Huelva. Is there any Turkish student that is going to go to Huelva in September?

Hola!

In september I'll come to Huelva for autumn semester. Is there some dorm for students?

Hi Dondü : Last year we had around 20 turkish students per semester (at least, according at ESN Huelva Database) and, in fact, I already know because of facebook group (in order to search it, put "ERASMUS HUELVA 2012-2013") one guy called Guray who is coming to study chemistry, so don't worry about it ;-)

Sveiki Margarita! Here in Huelva we don't have sutdent's dorm. Spanish and exchange students usually rent a flat between 2-3 and share it. Once you come, in ESN Huelva we could help you to find an accomodation, and this summer we will submit on our webpage a flat list, in case you want to try to rent in advance (although we recommend you to ask us before rent something, to advice you about price, location or any doubt you could have about it). If you read a bit up, you will see I answered Andrea about accomodations ok?

If you have any kind of questions or need help about subjects, tell us, maybe we can help you ;-)

Hello!

I'm Emily from Greece and I'm coming in September for 6 mounths. I'm looking for flatmates. (I would like to live in a house with other 4 or 5 people!)

When approximately will you get the list of flats for next academic year?

Hi Aimiliani, we hope to have it on the first week of july (if we can, even we would put some of them before).
