Why did you choose to go to Huelva, Spain?

After reading school experiences of other students, because of weather and the beaches.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I'm going to be here one year - 10 months - from September 2014 to June 2015.

I'm getting money from my university every month and it's 400 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Huelva?

Student lifestyle is amazing. There is a really good ESN organization in here. Big party every week. Movie night, picnic, hiking, sport days... Always something!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Huelva to other students?

The city is good. Small but nice. Beaches are 20 minutes by bus - really good. University is good too, nothing special, but good.

What is the food like?

The food is nice. I really love the restaurant Bonilla! The best and the cheapest supermarket is Lidl, but Carrefour and Mercadona are good as well.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Huelva?

I found a very cheap accommodation which is 20 minutes from Campus El Carmen and 20 minutes to the city center. Me and two of my friends have a flat with 3 bedrooms and we pay about 125 euro/person every month including bills.

How much does it cost to live in Huelva?

I am not sure, but Huelva is not expensive and we live here really good. Our scholarship is enough.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Nobody speaks English in here, so it's really hard to be here without Spanish. The university offers Spanish courses, but our teacher is really bad and we have to study more on our own.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Huelva from your city?

I flew from Brno to London and then from London to Sevilla with Ryanair. But there are more options, for example with Vueling airlines or Brussels airlines...

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Huelva?

For us - Erasmus - the best disco club is Mombasa or Ego.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Huelva?

Bonilla - I really love this restaurant, it's cheap and the food is very tasty.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Huelva in the future?

For winter semester - you need warm clothes! I am not kidding. In flats is really cold. They haven't central heating. We also had to buy blankets.
