What is it like to live in Hong Kong? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Living in Hong Kong is like living in a very busy place. However, I would also like to recommend people to go there, since Hong Kong is a place that accepts and understands the culture differences of the countries and it is a very vibrant city.
What is the student lifestyle like in Hong Kong?
The students in Hong Kong are generally very hard working and smart. They will always try to figure out ways to do things more efficiently. Studying in Hong Kong could be quite stressful because students like to compare their results with each other and always like to fight for number one.
How much does it cost to live in Hong Kong?
It does not cost much for the transporting, eating or shopping in Hong Kong. However, since Hong Kong is not very big but with lots of people, the living cost could be quite high. It cost a lot for people to rent or buy an apartment in Hong Kong.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Hong Kong? Is there any advice you can give?
It is very difficult to find accommodation in Hong Kong, since it is very costly to rent a place. That's why usually the university in Hong Kong will provide the dorm for exchange students to solve their accommodation problem.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
You can easily try food from different countries, you have so much choice. There is a high possibility that you can eat your home country food.
What places would you recommend visiting in Hong Kong?
The peak, Ocean park, Disneyland.
Is it good to eat out in Hong Kong? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
It is good to eat out in Hong Kong, there are many great quality but not expensive restaurants. My favorite spot in Hong Kong is 南記粉麵 (Open Rice), a place to eat noodles
Is the nightlife good in Hong Kong? Where is good to go?
The nightlife in Hong Kong is also very good. Many adults love to go partying at friday night. Lan Kwai Fong is popular for being the best place for partying.
What advice would you give future students heading to Hong Kong?
Hong Kong is a place with a fast pace, so prepare to adapt yourself to this culture.
