Is it difficult to find accommodation in Hong Kong? Is there any advice you can give?
The best option is student accommodation though it may lack privacy and be quite noisy. They are the cheapest or find two or three students to rent a bigger flat together.
It's advised not to rent subdivided flats as the walls are really thin. You will hear quite clearly of the sound from next door. Districts like Fanling, Sheung Shui, Tai Po, Yuen Long, Tuen Mun, Lamma Island, Ping Chau and Cheung Chau are relatively cheaper, especially flats in 3 floor "village house".
