What is it like to live in Hildesheim? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It’s a little big city. You have quit a lot possibilities. There are lot of fitness centers, a cinema, store where you can go shopping in the Arneken Galerie, you can go Bowling or going to bars or dancing.

It is not that loud and crowded like in other cities like Berlin.

What is the student lifestyle like in Hildesheim?

It is calme. The city isn‘t that big so you have good accesses to others students or the citizens. The people are relaxed and nice!

How much does it cost to live in Hildesheim?

Not much, it is not an expensive city. You can live cheap in the north city or in the eastern part of the city where are the price is really nice. Also, you have a good choices of supermarkets. You can go to cheap one or if you prefer good food you can go to an organic store.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Hildesheim? Is there any advice you can give?

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

You can nearly eat every kind of food what you liked to. Especially the Asian food is really good. I can recommend Noosu which is my favorite Asian restaurant. But there also many Italian, Greek or just typical German restaurants.

What places would you recommend visiting in Hildesheim?

The Hohnsen See, it’s a nice Place with a lake and lot of Green. Especially in summer is super nice to go there. You can relax, go jogging, have a walk with your dog any thing else you can do outside by good weather.

Is it good to eat out in Hildesheim? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, because there is a high rage of restaurant, bistros, bars and little food shops.

Deseo is a nice place to chill and hang out in order to have a coffee or for lunch. They make good dishes like burgers, pizza, Italian food food. Nearly everything. They have also events in the evening when it’s Fasching or Summer Chill our Events.

Is the nightlife good in Hildesheim? Where is good to go?

Yes, there a lot of bars and little spots like „Kneipen“ or cocktail bars like sonderbar or deseo at the Peter von Hindenburgplatz and also in the Friesenstraße there you can find everything what the nightlife offers you in Hildesheim. It’s a frequent place for Students.
