What is it like to live in Helsinki? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Helsinki is like living in a small but relatively modern and architecturally sophisticated place. People are very polite but seem to be shy. The average Fin speaks good English so there is no problem in the daily life.

What is the student lifestyle like in Helsinki?

If you prefer parties, you will get the chance to party every night. If you rather do sport activities you will get the chance to use the gym, or other free to use sport facilities. It is up to your Erasmus-objectives, what you will like you'll get it for sure. But don't forget the actual reason... the studies!

How much does it cost to live in Helsinki?

A single room cost about 400€ per month per person. If you decide to share an apartment you can get it for about 250€ but make sure you can sacrifice privacy.

Food and beverages are expensive compared to the european average. Be prepared to spend another 200 € - at least.
