Why did you choose to go to Helsinki, Finland?
Because i could study and also keep playing american football in the local team.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I stay for 4 months and got 1400 euros
What is the student lifestyle like in Helsinki?
I don't know, i wasn't really in the student life, i had sports outside of school.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Helsinki to other students?
yes, they have a really good structure
What is the food like?
Potatoes, potatoes, potatoes....
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Helsinki?
Costed me a lot of time
How much does it cost to live in Helsinki?
around 400 or 500 for the apartment and 400 more for life (without counting partying )
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Finnish is so damn hard to learn. We had some finnish classes
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Helsinki from your city?
plane
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Helsinki?
Any club can do it if you have friends.
Boothill bar is you like hard rock and playing billard
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Helsinki?
never went to a restaurant there
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Islands nearby and natural sites.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Helsinki in the future?
Don't go there for party but to study. Parties will come on their own while grades won't.
