Why did you choose to go to Helsinki, Finland?

Everybody speaks english and it is very different from my own city.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

A whole year.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Helsinki to other students?

Yes

What is the food like?

Local food is fine but very expensive, there are many options from many different countries.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Helsinki?

Yes

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

It is quite difficult, but there are various courses available.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Helsinki from your city?

Aeroplane.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Helsinki?

The café at the uni is very affordable and good. In the city underground there are various cheap places.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Various cathedrals and buildings. Many museums which are free at some times of the month.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Helsinki in the future?

Look for an apartment as soon as you get the confirmation.
