Why did you choose to go to Helsinki, Finland?
It was interesting to go to country which I haven't really known before.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
The scholarship is for 4 month and you you need at least 700-800€ per month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Helsinki?
It is great. You meet so many nice people from the whole world. Helsinki offers you a lot of activities and the people are very helpful.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Helsinki to other students?
I really recommend the city and the university. It's great to live here. It really feels like home and I would love to stay a little bit longer. I'm also thinking about to do my master here in Helsinki.
What is the food like?
Eat in uni cafe. It's very cheap and the food is quite good.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Helsinki?
Yes.
How much does it cost to live in Helsinki?
It's quite expensive. I have to pay 700-800€ each month but it is worth it.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Finnish is quite difficult,but there are many language courses and the teachers are very nice.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Helsinki from your city?
By plane.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Helsinki?
I haven't been to a restaurant here,because it's too expensive
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
The museums are very interesting and you should visit suomenlinna.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Helsinki in the future?
Take warm clothes with you and just enjoy every day. The time runs so quickly and if you have the chance to stay here for the whole year, you should definitely do it!
