What is it like to live in Harare? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city itself is safe, there is much to see but the condition of the roads and the city centre is not pleasant.

You are better off living in the low density areas there are nice shopping centres, great nightlife especially weekends, it is quieter and more pleasant to look at.living in Harare is very pleasant just needs a bit of adjusting

What is the student lifestyle like in Harare?

The student lifestyle is great because from most universities you have access to most neccessities

How much does it cost to live in Harare?

Living in Harare can cost you from $US300 depending on the type of lifestyle you would like to live

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Harare? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not difficult. Advice would be to find accommodation away from the city centre

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food.in Harare is awesome there is a lot of food outlets and restaurants in Harare

What places would you recommend visiting in Harare?

I would recommend the game parks, heroes acre, Sam let's village, farms were produce is grown and manufactured

Is it good to eat out in Harare? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is. If you're looking for fast food then there is outlets all around with chicken inn, pizza inn, creamy inn bakers inn, band is, steers and more they are all usually in one building so you can choose whichever. Kfc is also great for fast food. If you're looking for restaurants then I recommend you go to Sam levy village and choose from the variety of restaurants there, they are all great though

Is the nightlife good in Harare? Where is good to go?

It is okay but I recommend you have friends to be with it's usually better that way because it's mainly house parties and a few clubs. Mainly from Friday to Sunday though

What advice would you give future students heading to Harare?

Just be free and open-minded to try new things.
