What is it like to live in Harare? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Harare being the capital of Zimbabwe is a melting pot of different cultures, traditions and beliefs which make makes it a place where one can find a large variety of activity to partake in. Its a faster city that most cities in Zimbabwe it is fun to explore, one would say. I do recommend for one who is looking to tour a cultural melting pot and a bit of a fast life.

What is the student lifestyle like in Harare?

Student life in Harare is packed which a vast variety as Zimbabwe boasts some top quality education in Africa. It is also really vibrant as there so many activities that student can participate in and out the school for fun and/or to benefit there careers.

How much does it cost to live in Harare?

Cost of living is Harare varies from place and type of lifestyle one would want to live. Rental and bills range between $20 to $500 US Dollars, and food and upkeep can range between $50 to $300 US Dollars. Entertainment can range from $10 US Dollars going up

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Harare? Is there any advice you can give?

Harare has a lot of accommodation options one can choose from to suit their desire. It is fairly easy to find accommodation.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food in Harare amazing, I personally am in love with Sadza (pap) and Gango (mixed meat roast) and I also love a good Zimbabwean Braai (BBQ).

What places would you recommend visiting in Harare?

Out of the many places to choose from, one should consider going to Mbizi game park, Lake Chivero and Lion and Cheetah park next to it, The National art gallery and Mukuvisi Woodlands

Is it good to eat out in Harare? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

The are so many place to chose from when eating out, when its comes to fast food you can go for: Chicken inn, Chicken Slice, or Pizza inn. If one seeks fine dinning you can look at restaurants like: Amanzi restaurant and Queen of Hearts.

Is the nightlife good in Harare? Where is good to go?

Night life in Harare is really vibrant and fun but not full of much variety in activity as one would only be limited to bars and clubs.

What advice would you give future students heading to Harare?

If one is to choose Harare as their place of education I think they ought to keep and open mind, be financially stable or be sponsored by someone who is. And make as many friends as possible because people in Harare are amazing.
