What is it like to live in Guadalajara? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Is verte beautiful. Very famous for the culture. Guadalajara has everything. Very close to Beaches or woods. It has different city parts for different interests

What is the student lifestyle like in Guadalajara?

It has a lot of activities for the youngs. Also there are quite a few big universities that receive international students.

How much does it cost to live in Guadalajara?

Depends. Clubs are expensive but less so than Mexico DF. Housing can be found cheap because there are a lot of student from other cities and there is a lot of houses looking for roommates

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Guadalajara? Is there any advice you can give?

The best way I would say is through any university. Once you are here it is easier but from overseas the best way is through university or any foreign students groups

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is delicious. Like in any other part of Mexico it is spicy and there are a lot of tacos and tortas. Guadalajara's specialty is torta ahogada which is made with typical salty loaf of breath, pork and it is ahogada (drowned) in salsa. Otherwise there's a lot of different restaurants with all kinds of food.

What places would you recommend visiting in Guadalajara?

Of course the center which has a lot of beautiful bilduings. Tlaquepaque is also beautiful and all the nearby pueblos mágicos like tequila, tapalpa, mazamitla etc. There is also the guachimontones pyramids that are round.

Is it good to eat out in Guadalajara? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There is a new place which is called mercado Mexico in Chapultepec. It is the hipster part of guadalajara, full of bars and different restaurants. Mercado Mexico is a new concept where there is a lot of different restaurants and a centered area where you eat. So you can go with your family but each one ear from different restaurants

Is the nightlife good in Guadalajara? Where is good to go?

Chapultepec is good for cheap hipster bars. There are also a lot of night clubs but those are more expensive because in order to get a good table you have to buy a bottle of alcohol which is like 1500 pesos.

What advice would you give future students heading to Guadalajara?

Definitely use Uber or buy the mibici service ( public bycicle service). The traffic is increasing and the public transportation is not so reliable
