What is it like to live in Guadalajara? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
A great city where you can have fun and party, also to know about the Mexican culture, there are different towns you can visit and learn something from them. The only bad thing is traffic.
Guadalajara is one of the biggest cities in Mexico so you can imagine all the restaurants, shopping malls and different things that the city offers you, so you will not get bored.
What is the student lifestyle like in Guadalajara?
It depends on how much money do you have, you can go out everyday and have dinner, go partying but it's a little bit expensive. You will use uber taxi for safety or the public bus but only during the day.
How much does it cost to live in Guadalajara?
It depends on which area you live, Zapopan is the best area (providencia, Chapultepec, Valle real). These are the main zones where all the best restaurants, shopping malls, night clubs are and live here is more expensive than in downtown where is beautiful too but only during the day because of the insecurity.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Guadalajara? Is there any advice you can give?
No, people is always searching for roomies, there is a web page called Compartodepa.com where you can find a room, flat etc..
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Delicious, the main dish is torta ahogada. You can try tacos that there are in every corner or you can go to fancy restaurants mostly in AV. Providencia or Chapultepec.
What places would you recommend visiting in Guadalajara?
Night clubs: la Santa, Vango, La real, Edison, Barezzito, bars on Chapultepec
Shopping malls: andares, galerias, la gran plaza, Punto São Paulo
Restaurants: In providencia, Chapultepec,
Andares
Towns: tapalpa, mazamitla, ajijic, chapala, tequila
Take the tour bus in downtown
Concerts and festivals
Puerto Vallarta that is the beach near to Gdl you can go by bus or airplane.

Is it good to eat out in Guadalajara? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, in every corner you will find a place to eat tacos so you should try them, there are also fancy restaurants where you can find the best meat, sushi, fish, chicken etc.. Or the typical restaurant of Burger King, Pizza Hut etc.
What advice would you give future students heading to Guadalajara?
You should look for a place to live in Zapopan, use Uber taxi instead of the normal taxi or use the public bus. You can go out everyday in this city and you will find out something to do. Get use to the traffic and Have fun!
Mexican people are really kind and super friendly they will invite you to party with them.
