My Experience in Granada, Spain. By Sara.

What do you think about Granada as a place to live? Would you recommend it?

Granada is the perfect city for any student, so of course I recommend it. It's not a very big city and everything is quite central so you can travel around with few problems. It's a multicultural city with each neighbourhood has its own character, differing from the last, so you'll never be without anything to see.

How's the student environment in Granada?

The student environment is incredible. If you like going out more than you do studying, perhaps your parent's parent's will think Granada's not the best choice for you. You can go out any day of the week and there'll always be people out wanting to have a good time, and I'm not just talking about clubbing. Granada offers plenty of alternatives for you to have a good time.

How much does it cost to live in Granada?

If you decide to live in a shared flat, Granada's not a very expensive place to live. You can live in a decent shared flat for around 200 euros a month.

University accommodation is another thing...

Did you find it difficult to find accommodation in Granada? Do you have any advice?

It was very simple. You can find plenty of options in whichever website where you can rent apartments, rooms, etc.

What places in Granada do you recommend visiting?

What places wouldn't I recommend? Buy yourself a travel guide before you come and be prepared to walk a lot.

And eating in Granada? Can you list your favourite places?

The best things to eat in Granada are tapas. Go to whatever bar and you'll be able to get a drink and a plate of food which will not leave you disappointed for less than 3 euros. If you know where to go, you can eat great food for very little money, but don't worry, spend a few days here and you'll know where to go.
