What is it like to live in Granada? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Granada was recently voted the most beautiful city in Spain, people here are really really open minded, the city is full of university parties such as a street with a hundred pubs opened all week long. You can go anywhere walking, the beach is like 30 minutes away by car and you can go skiing in like 20 minutes as well.

We have the real tapas and not that scummy sh... Here tapas come free with your drink at almost all "bares" or "cervecerías" and with 2-3 beers plus the 2-3 free tapas that come with them you´ll be able to have had lunch/dinner for less than 5€ for sure!

You can enjoy the sights from Albayzín which is a UNESCO protected traditional muslim hood in which you can chill with no noise from cars. You can go hiking, you can do a lot of things, best city in the EU, etc.

What is the student lifestyle like in Granada?

Basically going out most days of the week in a really cheap manner. So hell yeah we have fun in Granada, if not you can just go to pretty places have a coffee and chill out without the stress of a big city.

How much does it cost to live in Granada?

I´d say renting a shared flat should only cost you about 200 € maximum, having lunch or dinner outside is normally less than 5€, going out in the pub´s street called "Pedro Antonio" is really cheap as well (1, 5-2 € per pint of beer). I don't know but somewhere between 400 and 600 € shall be good.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Granada? Is there any advice you can give?

No, it's really easy to find flats for students and tourists, like really easy. Just look online or check @ligoteo_UGR.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is awesome, try out the "Plato Alpujarreño" a typical Granadan dish which consists of some kind of potatoes, "morcilla", fried eggs and "chorizo". It's a cholesterol bomb, baby.

What places would you recommend visiting in Granada?

Pedro Antonio, Albayzín, Alhambra, Sierra Nevada, Almuñécar, Calle Elvira, etc.

Is it good to eat out in Granada? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It´s awesome, just go anywhere close to Pedro Antonio and it will all be really cheap and nice spots.

Is the nightlife good in Granada? Where is good to go?

Pedro Antonio if you want some cheap but good old rock and roll party, Mae West or Boom Boom Room if you want some reggaeton and El Camborio if you are a foreigner, you'll love it, it's made for people like you!

What advice would you give future students heading to Granada?

Come to granada ASAP, trust me you won´t regret it, one of the biggest and better universities, really cheap, nice people, loads of parties, loads of foreign students, really beautiful city, the 9th wonder, skiing, hiking, beach, party, party and more party.
