Experience in Granada, Spain by Irene
What is it like to live in Granada? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Life in Granada is beautiful, I recommend it to all students who want to go in Erasmus. This city has many things to discover.
What is the student lifestyle like in Granada?
Granada has a street called Pedro Antonio full of bars and discos and what you need to know is that all entrances are free. There are other discos but you will pay between 5 and 15€ (never more).
How much does it cost to live in Granada?
Granada is the cheapest city for student's in Spain.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Granada? Is there any advice you can give?
My advice is to share a flat in the centre of the city. It's not difficult because there are a lot of them and it's very cheap (between 120/200 €) Residences are expensive and you will eat every day the same food.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
One word: Tapas. Any drink + Tapa: 1'80-2€.
Supermarkets have low prices too.
What places would you recommend visiting in Granada?
Mirador de San Miguel, Mirador de San Nicolás, Carmen de los Mártires, La Alhambra...
Is it good to eat out in Granada? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Gonzalo Gallas street and all its restaurants.
Is the nightlife good in Granada? Where is good to go?
Mae West, Campus, Vogue, Pedro Antonio...
What advice would you give future students heading to Granada?
Enjoy!
