Why did you choose to go to Granada, Spain?

I chose Granada because I study Spanish and my teacher also used to study there so he recommended Granada to me.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months, I received around 400 euros per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Granada?

There is a lot of opportunities for student life: bars, restaurants, discos, tapas, salsa courses etc.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Granada to other students?

I would recommend Granada for the people who want to party a lot, but not for people who want to make true friendships and some deeper relationships. For that, I would recommend a smaller town with fewer Erasmus student.

What is the food like?

Gastronomy is really good in Granada, tapas are delicious and cheap, I love the food in Spain.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Granada?

Well, there is a plenty of flats, but I spent a week looking for a flat with people who I would like as roommates.

How much does it cost to live in Granada?

I paid 200 euros in total per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

It is quite easy, maybe it is more difficult at classes, depends on the classes and your level of Spanish. I went to Spanish courses offered by University but they weren´t much help for me.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Granada from your city?

Take a plane to Madrid and then a bus to Granada.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Granada?

Probably tapas bars, Camborio.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Granada?

I don't remember any, I usually cook for myself, tapas bars are generally good everywhere. And then kebab houses are really famous and good choice when you are out.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Definitely Alhambra in May, Albaicin.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Granada in the future?

The temperature can be low in winter but then it is really high in May, June, July etc. so be prepared for that :)
