Would you recommend the city and the University of Granada to other students?

Definitely I would recommend it. Granada is a very beautiful, historical city, and people there are so friendly.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Granada?

No, I looked online (didn't have to pay anything) and I found a place that suits me.

How much does it cost to live in Granada?

I'd say about 200-250 euros for rent per month (with a roommate). I live in a small studio alone in the district of Albaicín Alto for 300 euros. People seem to think of this district as far from the city centre, but it only takes me 15-20 minutes max. To get to plain city centre by bus.

For groceries (if you'll be eating at home) 40-50 euros per week.

Of course, that doesn't include going out, events, etc.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Well, if you don't have a level of B1-B2 in Spanish it'll be a little bit hard at first (specially that the accent is a bit different from the one usually taught abroad) but you'll get used to it and people are friendly so don't worry. And there are courses available at the Centro de Lenguas Modernas, it's a bit expensive but it is said to be the best place to learn Spanish (ask for the discounts for students, Erasmus, etc. ).

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Granada?

Flamenco shows, bars, bars with live bands/music. Also there are a lot of foreign students' gatherings almost every night. Just look for EMYCET Granada, http://www.erasmusgranada.com, ESN Granada (Erasmus student network Granada) on Facebook, plenty of events, trips, outings, etc.
