Why did you choose to go to Granada, Spain?

The scholarship is based on Universidad de Granada. I didn't choose. But I was so lucky to be in the city because it's a beautiful city and spectacular scenery with a good people surrounding. It will be my unforgettable moment in Granada and I will come back again to visit again this city in the future.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months. 800 euro/month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Granada?

Crowded with the students at all place in the city. They love to go for a tapas and drink, clubbing and party. Full in the library as well for study and revision. I love the student lifestyle here because we can do everything in one place in the city.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Granada to other students?

Absolutely yes!

What is the food like?

I love the food. Everything is different with Asian cuisine. Unfortunately I couldn't try most of the food dish with pork. But I've tried some food which is very delicious like paella seafood, pastry, tapas and others. Actually I use to cook and it was easy to find the healthy ingredient here but difficult to find a common chilis and anchovies like in Asia.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Granada?

Not really.

How much does it cost to live in Granada?

250Euro/month including utilities.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Actually yes if I focus to learn, but due to my work it takes time. However, I love to speak in Spanish because it is easy to understand and communicate with the locals. Perhaps yes they do have, but I didn't looking for it. I've learn with my Spanish housemates, youtube and phone apps.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Granada from your city?

Flight.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Granada?

All the mirador points, club, bars for a tapas and drink, Elvira street, theater, parks, nevada shopping mall, centro and Baraka cafe.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Granada?

I have no idea about restaurants because I used to cook. I always hang out at Baraka cafe for a coffee, tea, juice and healthy food.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The most must visit place is The Alhambra. Other places that you have to visit Cathedral, Triunfo, Sacromonte to see the cave villages and the Arab street at Elvira street.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Granada in the future?

There is not something very important to advice because we are totally safe here and easy to adapt the culture and environment. That's my opinion. Only have to know that the operation hours here is different compare in my country. they open like 9am/10am-2pm then totally close the shop 2pm-4pm/5pm. They use 24 hours system for the time. On Sunday all the shops are close except for a few bars and restaurants.
