Why did you choose to go to Granada, Spain?

I chose Granada for its location, near the mountains with snow (Sierra Nevada) and near the beach.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The help is different for every University. In my case I had 1400€ for 5 months...

What is the student lifestyle like in Granada?

Granada has the best student atmosphere I´ve ever seen. There are people from all over the world and lots of opportunities to hang out.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Granada to other students?

I would definitely recommend it.

What is the food like?

The food in the supermarkets is good and cheap. If you want to eat out, you have many places to go, with the speciality of the region, the "tapas" where you pay for the drink and the food is free.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Granada?

It's really easy to find a place to stay in Granada. There are lots of appartments to rent.

How much does it cost to live in Granada?

I spent about 2500€ for 5 months..

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

In Granada you have to speak Spanish. Everybody speaks Spanish, even Erasmus students.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Granada from your city?

From Portugal the best way to get there is to take an airplane to Madrid and then to go by bus to Granada.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Granada?

To hang out you have "Calle Pedro Alarcón" with bars and pubs for every taste. Then you have many discos: "Mae West", "Granada10" and "El Camborio", with comercial and some spanish music and you have "Vogue" with rock music and some alternative music in the top floor.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Granada?

My favorite places are: "Nuestro Bar", "La bella y la bestia" and of course the Kebab places!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

In cultural way you have the Alhambra, the arabic neighborhood called "Albayzin" and some churches around the city.

Enjoy your time because time flies when we are spending good times!
