What is it like to live in Gothenburg? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Gothenburg is a nice city , although it rains a lot so don't forget your raincoat. Gothenburg has a lot of nice second hand and vintageshops as well as these old parts of town that are really beautiful.

What is the student lifestyle like in Gothenburg?

I guess it differs. I have always lived with my friends so for me it has been just always hanging out with people when I'm not in school. And also the Wednesday-beer.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Gothenburg? Is there any advice you can give?

Yes! It is super hard actually. I have found both of my apartments at Blocket.se, you can also be a member of SGS (student accommodation) but the waiting time there is pretty long...

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I don't eat out so much!

What places would you recommend visiting in Gothenburg?

Skansens krona! It has a view over the whole town. And also Ramberget(big mountain with lots of view as well). Konstmuseet is worth a visit if you enjoy art. Also Gothenburg has a lot of nice islands! Best visited in the spring/summer.

You should also visit Liseberg if you like amusement-parks!

Is it good to eat out in Gothenburg? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is quite expensive and I haven't done it so much. But I love Mim and Barley's Food Factory, on Hisingen.

Is the nightlife good in Gothenburg? Where is good to go?

For pubs you should go to Andra Långgatan! A street full of bars, several with really good beer prices and sometimes food buffees.

For clubs I recommend Yaki Da.

What advice would you give future students heading to Gothenburg?

Bring your raincoat! Enjoy the city!
