Why did you choose to go to Gothenburg, Sweden?

For school, but on recommendations from colleagues who went before me

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Two years but I’m Gothenburg for one year.

What is the student lifestyle like in Gothenburg?

Amazing! There are lots of organized student groups to join with lots of fun activities

Would you recommend the city and the University of Gothenburg to other students?

Definitely

What is the food like?

Great foods. There are lots of restaurants serving foods from different continents. Swedish meals are amazing as well.

How much does it cost to live in Gothenburg?

Depending on the kind of accommodation, one can get a decent place starting at 4000Kr (€400)

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The language is not so easy to grip but there are reasonable amount of words that are sound similar to English.
The language courses are available in the university but for a short period. However, there is the statewide-run institution that provide language courses at no extra cost.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Gothenburg?

I love African and Asian cuisines and there are lots of restaurants which serve those.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Gothenburg in the future?

Gothenburg is a beautiful city with cultural diversity. People are kind and always helpful but very reserved though. Accommodation can be limited so searching early would help.
