Why did you choose to go to Glasgow, Reino Unido?

I have always wanted to visit Scotland and Glasgow seemed like a great oportunity. I also wanted to improve my English and a city in the UK was the best option to do so.

What is the student lifestyle like in Glasgow?

It is great. There is always a party to go or a group of people to join. There is always something to do, from going to the cinema to going on tours around Scotland.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Glasgow to other students?

Yes, I do recommend it because it is an experience, you won't never forget.

What is the food like?

Well, the food is based on fast food. The best thing to do is to try something local, such as huggies. You could also eat really good fish and chips and enjoy some good local whisky.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Glasgow?

Not at all. My University had everything arranged since I knew I wanted to live in the hall of residence. I lived on campus.

How much does it cost to live in Glasgow?

That depends on you. You could live just fine with 500 pounds .

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The Gaswegians are known because of their funny accent . At the begining, it is a bit hard to understand them, but in the end you would love their accent. It is great.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Glasgow from your city?

Living in Castilla, the best way was to travel with a low cost company from Bilbao to Manchester, then from there take the train straight from the airport to Glasgow. If you want to go to Madrid it is also okay. From Madrid to Edinburgh is a little bit more expensive. In Edinburgh you just have to take a bus or train to go to Glasgow and the jorney will take only one hour.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Glasgow?

The clubs are amazing and not so expensive to get in (you could register yourself and some friend in the guests lists and you could enter for free). I like the ABC, the Garage and the Arches (this one specially on wednesday night, and that night is called Octopussy).

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Glasgow?

You can find some cheap estaurants. The burgers are amazing.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

You got the museum with an extraordinary Dali's Painting and the landscape beside the river

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Glasgow in the future?

Take your raining clothes because you are going to need them. Go and buy some waterproof shoes and coat. The weather is weird, even when it's sunny. It usually rains onces per day or so.
