Why did you choose to go to Ghent, Belgium?

Because i think it is really one of the most beautiful city i`ve ever seen.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

my scholarship is for 3 years

What is the student lifestyle like in Ghent?

It is really cool, a lot of young people and really a good environment

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ghent to other students?

yes off course, you will definitely love it. just take a bog coat and scarfs with you because it is reaaaally cold :)

What is the food like?

delicious

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ghent?

I will live in an apartment shared with another ecuadorian friend :)

How much does it cost to live in Ghent?

thousand dolars per month or something like that

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I already knew how to speak dutch, i learned last year while i was in an exchange year program. But I can definitely day that if you make an effort dutch it is not so hard to understand it or to speak it. and off course you can follow some language courses and Im sure native people is also going to help you a lot :)

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ghent from your city?

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

a lot of places, just lose yourself walking around these beautiful city

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Ghent in the future?

just enjoy it and make a lot of friends
