Now, that we have this visa liberalization, they say it has become easier to travel from Georgia to other countries. You go round the capital _ Tbilisi and see many, many travel agencies. In fact, there are so many of them, that you are shocked.

When you decide to go somewhere on vacations, the first question you are faced with is how to organize your trip. At least you need tickets and accommodation. However, if you go abroad, the situation becomes more complicated. You will need visa (mainly), foreign passport and a little of information about a country you are visiting. The citizens, living and travelling inside EU borders are in better position. They are free to visit any EU country without any additional document. In fact, when I crossed the Netherlands-Germany border, if the driver hadn't told us that it was a border, I wouldn't even have noticed it. But let's imagine that you have chosen a country, where you need a visa. Well, now it's time to make some preparations for your trip. At first, you should decide whether you trust organizing your trip to a travel agency, or not and organize it by your own. If you choose the first variant, there can be some disadvantages and advantages, of course.

Firstly, convenience! You don't have to besiege embassy and wait in long queues. You don't need to worry about buying tickets and booking hotels, because everything listed above is done by the agency you can rely on.

Secondly, prices! Sometimes travel agencies have special agreements with hotels and the price becomes cheaper for you. The same thing can be said about plane and train tickets.

Then, comfort in the country of destination _ you are mostly provided with transfer to hotel and the representative of the agency can solve any of your problems.

Finally, it can be said, that your vacation is pretty organized. You have a choice of excursions; you will be shown the best shops and the most interesting attractions.

On the other hand, not all the travel agencies are trustworthy. Some of them disappear with the client's money.

Secondly, some people don't like to be limited _ by excursions, by return tickets or by the necessity of staying in the hotel they've chosen.

Finally, it's not always cheap _ often excursions offered by the agency representatives are more expensive, than in other places in the city.

If you choose the second variant, you should be prepared for some problems, too, but, of course, this variant has its light sides, too.

First of all, you are free to choose where and when you want to go. You are free to change your hotel, or your return ticket.

Secondly, you are most likely to see places, not shown to usual tourists (speaking from my personal experience).

Thirdly, it's a kind of challenge. Can't imagine your holiday without risk and adrenaline? So, this variant is for you!

Finally, you can seek and find a cheaper variant and not just accept what the agency offers.

On the opposite, risk can be disadvantage, too. You are not quite safe, when travelling alone in a foreign country. Nowadays you are not quite safe anywhere, but still...

Secondly, it causes some problems in the state of organization _ getting a visa can be a trouble. Interview, invitation and lots of documents _ all these can be inevitable. So, prepare to waste some time and nerves.

To sum up all the ideas above, we can conclude, that it's slightly better to travel by travel agencies, because it's more comfortable. But sill, we need to be careful and check the travel agency before we pay them money.
