Raining cats and dogs in Ureki

Hello people, now I want to tell you about this day in Ureki. Ureki is a place in western Georgia. It's a seaside town, not very large and the beach there is full of black sand and people go there with health problems, because they say that this sand is good for that. Well, I dont really know about that, however people from Georgia and many other countries go there and walk in this sand and stuff like that.

Well, this day started with lightnings and rain and stuff like that, you know how it happens. I thought that it would be just some rain in the morning and then it would be over and we could go outside and if not swim, just sit on the beach or something like that, you know. And so I was waiting for the rain to stop. I was still asleep though. Well, it was 5 in the morning when I woke up and it was lightnings all over and I thought that it would rain, so I tried to move things from the balcony to inside and then went to sleep again. Then it turned out that it had started raining soon and sometimes it was raining hard and sometimes not that hard, howeveer, it didn't really stop raining. It was 7 a.m. when I woke up again, but as it was still early and it was raining again, I just went to sleep. Well, to be honest, it was kind of hard to fall asleep, because my neighbours next door were all talking and children crying and stuff like that and it was awful, you know, I mean, how can you sleep when things are like that and I wondered what were the walls made of so that the sound was heard in another room like that. Well, i didn't seem that those children would ever shut up, so that I just had to do my best to sleep if I wanted to sleep. I mean, one can not go to the neighbours and knock on the door in the early morning and tell them not to bother neighbours, so what can one do? nothing! So, I could just close my eyes and try to fall asleep. You know, you can turn some music on and get your headphones on your ears and listen to some music and that will be kind of covering those sounds of the children or whatever, but maybe one does not want to have something shouting in the ears and maybe one just wants to sleep in a quiet nice environment?! But , no! Someone must interrupt one with everything and that is called life, you know, and that's just crazy and that is just what I don't like, and, no one likes that, I guess.

So, anyways, I slept for a couple of hours since that, because I was really sleepy, I mean, I don't know why, but I was so sleepy that I used to wake up and then go to sleep and then wake up and go to sleep again. Usually, if I wake up then I can't go to sleep very easily, so that meant that I was really tired or something like that, because I could wake up and sleep again in a couple of minutes. Well, everyone else was asleep, too, at that time, however, then they woke up and started talking and stuff like that and I could hear theem, but I just wanted to sleep, so I was halfway asleep and halfway awake and I could hear everything, though it seemed like I was asleep, if you want to know the truth.

Well, it was already noon when I finally decided that it was time to wake up and get up and stuff like that, though I was still asleep. It was kind of late for sleeping, however I couldn't really continue this so called sleeping. It was still raining outside and I could feel this fresh breeze from outside in the room, too. It was cool. I like that thing and I just wanted to go outside on the balcony or whatever and breathe that fresh rainy breeze. It felt like you were in the mountains in that fresh air and those trees and everything.

Having lunch upstairs

So, people here wanted to eat something and seemed like they were all waiting for me to get up and get ready, so that we all could go and have some breakfast, or lunch _ because it was already a lunch time, you know. So, finally I could get up and get ready and everything. However, until that, our hotel manager came and checked those things that were not working. You know, there was this bad weather that night and some lightning struck nearby the hotel or something like that and it was really bad and some things just stopped working, like the TV and Internet and so that he came to get those things in order and he checked everything and then he talked about some things with my father and I was just waiting for him to leave so that I could change and get ready for the day, you know. Finally he stopped talking and went back to his place or whatever and I was free to do whatever I wanted to do. And until that, my father went upstrairs so that he could order some food for us. Well, they have this cafe terrace upstairs on top of the hotel building and they have some good dishes there, and since it was raining cats and dogs and we couldn't really go outside to some restaurant or cafes to eat, we went upstairs. There was this good breeze there and it was not that bad, actually. We had some fries with pork shishkabob and roasted fish. It was all delicious, I can say. There were some other people, too, eating there. Well, the people who live in that hotel with us, of course. You know, The fries were alright, I mean, there was something about them , I guess , it was kind of dry or something like that. And the fish was alright, too. The most the I liked was the meat , I mean, the meat that was with the fries. Well, it was soft and delicious, and seemed like it was boiled first and then roasted or fried or whatsoever, you know, so that it was really soft _ just like I love _ and it was tasty and easy to eat. We had a whole sour cream bought in the fridge and I just really wanted to eat some of it and so that I asked my brother to bring it with him when he got upstairs. So he brought it and I had this sour cream with some fries and pork shishkabob and it was really good, if you want to know the truth. Well, I had not tasted sour cream with fries and meat, so, that was the first time that I ate this kind of thing together and I was glad that it was delicious and I liked it. So, we had our lunch there upstairs on that balcony or terrace or whatsoever and the rain was not going to stop. However, the view from that place was good, I mean, you can see the sea from up there and the houses and the beach and the other side, too, where there is the road and woods and stuff like that. So, in fact, you can enjoy the landscape from there and even if it rains, you can sit there at the table and just look around and be on a fresh air and be cool and just enjoy the view.

Well, since it was not going to stop raining, we went to our room and I just took my phone to study some German language, I mean, I had this movie in German downloaded into my phone and I could watch it since the Internet was gone because of the heavy storm the other night and we didn't know when they could solve this problem of the Internet and so that I could not rely on that, of course, so I decided to watch the movie. I could see what was happening outside from the transparent door and window that was in front of me, I could say, and I could control if the rain was stopping or something like that.

Dining at Palermo restaurant

It was not until the evening that the raiin kind of stopped, I mean, I guess it was 5 or 6 p.m. when the rain kind of stopped and we thought that we could go out and have some dinner and, at the same time, buy some stuff, because we needed some things for ourselves. So, the rain stopped and we were all glad and stuff like that and we got ready to go outside and ssuddenly we saw, that the rain had started again and it was pouring outside, literally. Well, what could we do, we just sat and waited for it to stop. It was pretty hilarious how we sat there looking outside and wishing for the rain to stop. Some time later, it stopped, and it was drizzling or something like that, I guess, so that we walked downstairs and walked outside. Well, we got into our car and went to this restaurant called "Palermo". They have pretty delicious dishes, I can say, and they have improved them since we last ate there, if you want to know the truth. So, we went there and sat there and we got the menus and I just love studying the whole menu, so that I looked at it and looked into it and just started studying and stuff. They had many dishes, if you want to know the truth and they had all in the menu, I mean, they could prepare any of them, as they hadn't have any problem with anything. Well, we ordered some Khinkali, Kebab, Chvishtari, Kharcho. Well, technically, it was Kharcho that my father wanted and I could eat some of it, too, if you want to know the truth, because the portion was pretty large. They brought Chvishtari first, so that we could taste it, and i can say, that this Chvishtari was the best one that I've eaten for a long time, I mean, it was really the best one . It was light, with much cheese, that was somehow in Chvishtari aand not outside of it, as it happens in many times, and it was perfectly cooked. I tried preparing Chvishtari one time or several times, I guess, and I couldn't really prepare it well, I mean, that cheese was outside, too, and when I cooked it, the cheese got kind of burned and stuff like that, so that I could not prepare Chvishtari just the way I wanted. And this one was just amazing. And the cheese melted in that corn flour. And everyone just said that it was a great Chvishtari. Kharcho was great, too. It was really greatly spiced and seasoned and everything. The meat in it was great, too. And Khinkali I haven't eaten there that time, but my parents said that it was great and it was delicious. One thing that was kind of lousy was that Kebab, I don't know, maybe it was not lousy, but I didn't really like it, because it was really really soft, I mean, it was too soft, if you ask me, and it was not very tasty for me, either. So, that thing was the one that I didn't like there.

Maybe you are wondering how the day ended. Well, let me tell you, that we had this dinner and then we went to the supermarket to buy "something sweet"as my mother calls it. There were these eclairs and we bought some of them and we bought some other things, too, and went home. It was still kind of raining and so, we could not walk outside or hang out or whatever, so that we were in our room, watching TV or being on balcony and looking outside breathing this fresh air of rain.
