Finding Chero
In this article I want to tell you about this new fresh juice, which just appeared in Georgia and there has been many commercials about it.
Well, everyone was very interested in that thing, however, there were not many places, where this juice was sold and people couldn’t really find it, so that they were very surprised to see the commercials and not find the juice anywhere else. The juice is called Chero and the commercial was very interesting and soon it became a sponsor of some programs on TV and we usually heard about Chero more often on a daily basis and I got very interested in buying it. However, I couldn’t find it in those large supermarkets, where I usually go and then I thought, that it was not yet in realisation or whatever.
It was after that, that I thought, that I wouldn’t find this Chero juice anywhere, so that I decided to drink other juices and not that, of course, because I didn’t have any of them and soon I just forgot about it. Well, not that I forgot about it, but I didn’t continue looking for it in those supermarkets or other places and that was just it. Though, when I saw those commercials, I always wondered, where it could be or why it was not foundable in those supermarkets. And there was just this yellow coloured juice bottle in the commercials and I thought, that they might just have that one and that might have been an orange one, because it’s usually a very popular juice _ the one with orange taste, so that it wouldn’t have been too bad, however, it would have been better, if they had some other things, besides that one.
Where to buy Chero drink
So, it went days and weeks and I didn’t even think, that I would finally find this Chero juice somewhere, when I suddenly saw this Chero picture in the social network Facebook while scrolling and I opened it and saw the comments. There were plenty of comments, however, I was interested, whether anyone would know where to find this juice and after some time of scrolling the comments, I saw this question, which I wanted to ask , too, and there were answers, where in the supermarkets or markets people had seen and bought this Chero drink, and then I read it! The supermarkets were “Ori nabiji” and some others, but not Fresco or Carrefour or Nikora and that’s why I remembered this Ori nabiji, because the other supermarkets are not that common in the city of Tbilisi and, besides, this supermarket is nearby my home and I could easily get there and see, whether this Chero drink was sold there or not.
Well, after some time, I went to this Ori nabiji supermarket, which is just nearby, though, I don’t usually get there on daily basis, because it’s not on the way home, it’s on the parallel street and, besides, the prices there are pretty high comparing to other supermarkets and that’s why I don’t usually go there to buy some products. Anyways, when I got there, I looked around and there was this drinks’ section, where I went and searched for my Chero drink and then there I found it! And it was not just that yellow one, buy there were some others, too, and that was very good and I felt pretty proud, that I had found it finally.
Types of Chero drink
There are some types of this Chero drink and now I have tasted all of them, except the apple one, though I will taste it in these days, too. The main and the popular one is that yellow one and it’s an orange with some mandarine and it tastes very good, if you want to know the truth.
The other one is a tropical one or whatever. It has many fruits’ taste. There are pineapple, kiwi fruit, mango and others, which I don’t really remember now, however, it’s not a heavy drink or something and it’s very light and sweeter, than the former one because all those fruits that give it the taste and it’s pretty good, if you love having different fruits in your drink.
Another one is with cherries and apples and it’s a pretty light drink. You know, if you have just cherries, then it has this kind of sour taste and then after drinking it , you want to drink water and you feel thirsty. So that, having some apples in it is just great and the drink becomes different and better, I guess.
And the other one is just with apples, which I haven’t tasted yet, however, I like apple juices and I think, that this one will be a good one, too.
The price
Well, to be honest, the price is alright, if you ask me, however, many people say, that it’s pretty expensive and they want to have it cheaper. Well, everyone wants to have everything bought cheap, and, besides, they want everything for free, however, that doesn’t happen here, so that the price of this Chero drink in Ori Nabiji supermarket is 3.50 laris. If you see other juices in the supermarkets, their prices doesn’t differ too much with this Chero price, however, it all depends on which juice you want to buy , of course. I mean, there are these Chveni Supra juices, which cost pretty cheap, they cost 2.50 Laris or somewhere about that and they are 1 litre, just like that Chero drink and for many people, difference in 1 lari also makes the difference, they can buy some other things with that extra 1 lari, which they save in buying that Chveni supra drink and not that Chero drink, you know. I would also buy that Chveni supra drink and have that 1 lari for something else, rather than buy the Chero drink, if I was not in that need of having the Chero drink or something like that, you know. and it’s not like Chveni supra has some bad juice or whatever, it’s just Georgian company and it has many things in lower prices, than the imported stuff, and it is not a bad company, I must say. I often buy its products, because, first of all, it’s Georgian and, secondly, because it has things in lower prices than the other companies.
Anyways, there was this other day, when I went to Fresco supermarket and for my surprise, they had these Chero drinks and they had a sale and it cost 3.33 laris there and I thought, that they would have these Chero drinks since then, so that I was pretty glad about that idea. However, some days later, when I went to this Fresco supermarket again, they didn’t have any of those Chero drinks and I don’t know why. And I haven’t asked the consultant or someone about that, so that I don’t know whether they will have those Chero drinks again or not. It would have been great, if they had the Chero drinks there, because that supermarket is just on my way home and I usually go there to buy some things until I get home and if I want to buy some Chero drinks, I have to specially go to that Ori Nabiji supermarket onto the other street and buy it there and then go home, and that’s pretty tiring, especially if I have already bought some things in the Fresco supermarket and if they are heavy, of course.

Well, good news, people! The other day I went to Fresco supermarket and it was full of those chero drinks again and I was very glad to see that and it cost 3.33 laris with their 5% discount card and that’s pretty normal. I mean, usually it costs 3.50 laris in Ori nabiji supermarket. And that day I bought this one, which I hadn’t tasted yet, and it is the apple one and it was pretty good and if you love apple drinks and if you want to drink something light and good, you should buy that one, however, the orange and mandarin one is the best, I guess, and that’s why it’s so popular in the people, if you ask me.
This Chero drink is prepared in Mtskheta region, by Georgian beer company and many things are prepared in Mtskheta, if you want to know the truth. It’s said, that it’s prepared with aseptic method, which gives the fruit have its minerals and vitamins stored and so that, this drink has some useful things in it, too. Perhaps, that’s why its price is a little more expensive, than the usual juices prepared in Georgia, such as “Chveni supra” and things like that, though, it’s not that different in prices and it’s not like the others are bad or something. For example, this “Chveni supra” company has pretty good drinks in those glass bottles, which I find very tasty. There are also some other drinks, that are pretty good and some of them have some distinguished drinks, which I like, for example, Sandora has this amazing cherry drink, which we usually buy, if we want to have some cherry juice, because it’s very good. There are also Kula juices, which are very good and they also have those kompoti things with the fruits inside and everything and people like them, too, because they usually used to prepare things like that at home and then open them in the winter, when there was no fruit around and they would drink them that way and eat those stored fruit. However, now they can not bother about that and buy the prepared stuff, and, nowadays, everything’s like that, you can buy everything already prepared and not bother preparing some things at home, however, some people prefer preparing things at home, and, of course, it’s safer and better sometimes, because when you prepare things at home, you wash the things carefully and prepare it with caution and everything, and that’s why homemade stuff is better, than the bought stuff. However, when there’s so little time for preparation of things at home and everything, it’s easier to buy products prepared and have some extra time for yourself or whatever.
Anyways, that’s what I wanted to say about these Chero drinks and how I got to know about them and stuff like that. And I want to recommend them to you, as they are non-carbonated, natural fruit drinks and they are pretty good and they don’t really cost that much, and they are in 1 litre bottles, so that if you want to have less than one litre, you should know, that you won’t find any, because there are just those ones on the market. Perhaps, after some time, they will add some other types of the drink and other “packages” of those drinks, I mean, it will be good if they had some of those drinks in 0.5 litre bottles or something like that. That way, people will buy them on the way and have them as they have water bottles with them and things like that.
