Why did you choose to go to Geneva, Switzerland?

I decided to go to Geneva for my internship because it's a very international city, full of opportunities for my field of studies (international and diplomatic sciences)

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Geneva?

It was hard to find an accommodation, especially because the prices are very high here.

How much does it cost to live in Geneva?

I'd say prices are crazy, every price is doubled if compared with Italian prices, so it can be a good idea to go shopping in France (Annemasse or Ferney-Voltaire) which is not far with the buses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Geneva from your city?

There are flights from Pisa, Florence or Rome for good prices, and the airport in Geneva is very easy to reach.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Geneva?

Pâquis and Rue de l'Ecole de Médecine are the best places for the evening, there are many locals. Anyway on the website La décadanse, it's possible to find all the events in Geneva: parties but even cultural events.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Geneva?

Chez Ma Cousine is a restaurant where you can eat chicken for a good price. It is a nice restaurant to have dinner with friends.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

For sure the United Nations' building is the most important cultural site to visit in Geneva.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Geneva in the future?

During the weekends, it's very nice to stay by the lake. There are many parks around the lake, but my favorite place is Bains des Pâquis, perfect for staying with friends, but even alone reading a book.

If you can decide, Geneva is much more alive during spring/summer, so I suggest to come during that months. My last piece of advise would be to visit places around Geneva: Lausanne, Nyon, and Annecy , which is my favourite.
