Freiburg is a student's city. Therefore you can find a lot of discounts for students in clubs, theaters, museums, etc.. Furthermore Freiburg is a bike city. That means almost every student has a bicycle and almost every road has a separate bicycle lane. You can find many flat parties as it is usual for a students city.

If you want to get a room for around 300 euros you should start looking for it as early as possible. Especially in October, it is very hard to find a place to stay since it is the month where the new semester starts.

There are not as many clubs as in other cities of the same size. Freiburg is rather a city with many pubs, e. g. Schlappen, Tacheles, Schachtel, Shooters and many more!

Although there are not that many clubs in Freiburg, you will find one for every kind of music. If you're into Indie Rock I would recommend you to go to ELPI once!
