Experience in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany by Simon
What is it like to live in Frankfurt (Oder)? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Frankfurt is a really small city. So everything is very close and at the same place. In general, it is the small university that I like because you know everybody of your semester.

There is almost a party every wednesday for students in the "Kamea Club".
Normally, you go to university with your students, visit the lecture and go to lunch.

Living in Frankfurt is very cheap. The apartments cost low money and you can buy cheap food in poland ( and vodka ).
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Frankfurt (Oder)? Is there any advice you can give?
Not really. You will find a place in students accommodation in August Bebel street. But I would prefer to live in a private WG because the price is the same.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
German food always. You can take lunch/dinner in Poland also.
What places would you recommend visiting in Frankfurt (Oder)?
Maybe the island "Ziegenwerder". The landscape in Frankfurt isnt`t exciting. But you reach Berlin with the train in one hour. So you can travel if you want.
Is the nightlife good in Frankfurt (Oder)? Where is good to go?
Not really. They have some nice erasmus parties but only a couple of bars.
What advice would you give future students heading to Frankfurt (Oder)?
Frankfurt is nice to meet new people and to chill out. The university is small and you get a good treatment by them. For making party you can go to Berlin. All in all it is okay for one Erasmus semester.
