Why did you choose to go to Germany?
Our faculty has an agreement only with that university.
How long was you scholarship? How much money did you receive?
I had a scholarship for 6 months. I was spending 650€ monthly.
How is the student life in Oder?
It is a really calm city. But thanks to the students there were lots of parties every day and we always had fun.
Would you recommend the city and the university to other students?
No, I wouldn't.
What is the food like?
Great.
How did you find your accommodation?
Really good.
What are the accommodation prices like? What are prices like for other things in general?
Accommodation prices were high, especially for students coming from Turkey. For other expenses you can go to Poland, which is very close.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Language was a problem because the language course offered at the University was too basic to be useful.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Oder from your city?
Airline.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Frankfurt (Oder)?
Kamea Club and Disco Bananas.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Oder?
Burger King.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
There aren't any.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Frankfurt (Oder) in the future?
For those coming from big cities it might bit a bit boring, but it is ideal for people looking for fun.
