Six days in Germany


Frankfurt - Went there for a student exchange program.

 

Flight – Lufthansa from New Delhi

Day 1 

Landed

Went to partner’s house

Went to main tower

Went to zeil – main market, Sunday farmer’s market, went to mall, shopping from Hollister, ate waffles with strawberries, explored market

Sat on banks of river main for an hour or two

Crossed the Eiserner Steg Bridge – locks of Love Bridge

Travelled in tram

At night went to the rose and light festival at Palm Garden – PalmenGarten 

Electric candles, dj, food, picnics

 

Day 2

Went to rhine river

Sat in cable car and went uphill

Treck then came down in cable car

Ate margarita pizza at first pizza restaurant in Germany 

Cruise at rhine river, ate ice cream

Went back home in tram

 

Day 3

 

Went to weisbaden in train

Tour of weisbaden city palace 

Went back to Frankfurt in train

Visited dinosaur museum

Went home

 

Day 4

 

Went to cologne

Visited the main church – Cologne Cathedral – Kolner Dom

Bought souvenirs

Went shopping at Hohe Straße 

Ate subway

Went back home

 

Day 5

 

Went to Berlin in train

Visited the holocaust war memorial, brandanburg gate, learnt about the history of the berlin wall, explored the remaining traces of wall over city

Toured through city in double decker bus

Sat in 6 person cycle

Ate gelato

Saw the federal chanecellory

Came home in train

 

Day 6

 

Attended an interactive museum experience at Dialog museum

We were blindfolded and given a walking stick, inside it was entirely dark, we were moving according to the sounds we heard and the instructions give to us

Museum focuses on making us experience how life is for blind people

Germany is a beautiful country and I definitely recommend it to any visitor.
