Why did you choose to go to Florianópolis, Brazil?
Because my other option was Campinas. Florianopolis looked better than Campinas.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I have lived in Floripa for 10 months. I spent around 400 euros/month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Florianópolis?
It´s a great experience, sure.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Florianópolis to other students?
Yes, Floripa is a combination of University, Party, Nature, and great people.
What is the food like?
It is more stodgy than spanish food, but it is yummy at all.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Florianópolis?
Yes, a little bit. You should ask to students, brazilian students better.
How much does it cost to live in Florianópolis?
400 euros/month more or less.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
I´m spanish, for me the languages was very easy. I think there are courses available at the university.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Florianópolis from your city?
By plane, stopping in Sao Paulo.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Florianópolis?
I recommend to go to Casa de Noca at Avenidas das Rendeiras. It is a great club with brazilian people and good music.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Florianópolis?
There are many pizzerias at Lagoa da Conceiçao. I dont remember well.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
You have to go to Lagoinha do leste, one of the bests natural places in the island.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Florianópolis in the future?
