Osteria del Proconsolo is an amazing restaurant, where I have dinned during the visit to Florence. We went to this place according to the hotel recommendation, where have stayed. Since, it has been situated in the city center of Florence, it was not difficult to find the place and more conveniently, it was located at a walking distance from our hotel. The exact address of the restaurant is Via del Proconsolo, 59, 50122 Firenze FI.

We reached there around 7.30 p.m. for dinner without an early reservation. For the first time, when I saw the restaurant, it was so crowded with local and foreign tourists. Anyhow, we were lucky enough to find a table inside the restaurant. But I must say, that please check the availability or make an early reservation in order to not waste time during the peak season. Osteria del Proconsolo always welcome early reservations.

Due to the huge space, Osteria del Proconsolo can easily provide much more tables and service for their clients. The interior of Osteria del Proconsolo was totally decorated with the woods in a modern way, which is more appropriate for romantic dinner. Even if, it would not limit only for romantic dinners, but also more appropriate forhangout with friends and families. During my visit, there werelotof families, friends and young couple who came to dine in this restaurant.

Furthermore, they offervarietyof Italian full menus with primopiatti, secondopiatti, antipastiandpizza. Besides that, Osteria del Proconsolo offervarietyof seafood dishes, meat dishes, different types of soups, desserts, beer,vine, fruit juice and other beverages.

We orderedsea foodplates, meat dishes, bresaola plate and some other types of antipasti with beer. They took approximately 3 to 7 mins to serve antipasti with the bread and the beer. So, the service was quite fast and Osteria del Proconsolo does not let their customerstowait that long. While finishing the first round of the dishes, they served the second round of the ordered meal, which was taken 15 to 20 minutes to prepare. I must say, that meat was very fresh and well cooked. Besides that, the grilled shrimps were frozen shrimps but, it was very tasty. Eventhough,we had to use our hands to peel off the skins of the shrimps, we couldsurvive,since they offer fresh wet tissues with lime fragrance.

The taste and the quality of the foodwasexcellent and the prices were much more reasonable. Altogether we paid only 31 euro per person. The meat plate cost only 16 euro and the grilled shrimps cost only 13 euro.

Staff was very friendly and more active. All the time serve their customers with a friendly smile. Most of them can speak in English language so, no need to worry about the language problem. They explain about the menu for their customers very well. I did not get any chance to taste the pizza of this restaurant, since I was full after having all those dishes. Even if, I had not any chance to taste the pizza of this restaurant, they looked very tasty. According to the appearance of the pizza, I guess they were baked in classical wooden oven, which use to bake the pizza in original and traditional way.

We finish our dinning after two hours and it was a quite nice time. We could spend our time relaxing and chatting with friends. There is no time barrier, you can spend much time in this place as you wish. The restaurant is open until passing mid night.

So, I would like to recommend this place, since they offer friendly service, tasty and quality food and due to the moderate reasonable prices. If you visit Florence, do not miss this place. Go and enjoy your dinner there.
